 Idea 9: Most unusual

Intro: In mostly every girls life it involves around makeup, Not every girl uses makeup to make themselves prettier but sometimes it’s because they enjoy doing it. Most people think the product does what it says and what ever the company said on the back, but when you dig deeper into ingredients in cosmetics you might be a bit well… gob smacked with some things that are used in makeup and beauty products, and have you ever seen a company say that they used a little crawly bug to dye your lipstick a specific colour... , they are quite disgusting so get your paper bags and buckets ready.

Brands that test on animals: Most people find testing beauty products on animals quite cruel but sadly popular cosmetic brand still do in 2018 for e.g MAC, L’oreal, Benefit, Maybelline, Rimmel London, Revlon, Covergirl and OPI and HEAPS more brands test on animals like Cows, sheeps, Dogs and sometimes Cats. I still don't really get why people test on these poor animals i mean like what did they do to you?!? And just to make it even WORSE most of the products that are tested can cause SERIOUS rashes on their skin (yes even with makeup remover that will make the chemical reaction WORSE!) and even possibly kill them if they where to lick the product because most makeup contains poisonous chemicals.

Cruelty free brands: As much as there is brands that test on animals there is brands that are cruelty free for e.g Famous brands like, Kat von D, NYX, Tarte, Wet N’ Wild and many more don't test their products on animals, because it can harm them and they dont want that. The brands that don't test on animals instead test on things like,Others or skin like substance that reacts like skin. Why most makeup and cosmetic brands have stopped testing on animals since 2016 is because they’re customers have gotten mad about them doing that and have stopped buying from their brand which has of course made their financial rate drop by a humongous amount of money.

Most dangerous things in cosmetics: You might be thinking right now Dangerous?? Yes, there are some quite dangerous things found in cosmetics and you for SURE you will fall of your seat by how shocking these are! First of all things that are used in dynamite are shockingly common in some cosmetics, Lead, which can cause serious diarrhea, Imidazolidinyl urea most of these have very long and complex names but are things that you should often avoid in cosmetics!

Most disgusting things that are used in cosmetics: Oftentimes parts of animals and things of animals are used in cosmetics and moisturizer and a whole range of other things!A Lot of brands use these animal things:Sheep wool oil, Snail Goo, Cow semen, Crushed Beetles, Shark liver oil, Hardened whale vomit and feces and fish scales. Be aware that these aren’t the terms used on the back of the box, makeup brands will use scientific and technical terms. Even though they sound disgusting you probably have fish scales in your shampoo and shiny nail polish that you may be wearing right now! The crushed beetles in your lipstick it fine for human consumption so no need to stop wearing that red lipstick that you love so much.

Why they have these gross things hidden in cosmetics: All though those things are rather gross the do some good in the beauty world, they do do some good and are basically harmless to our health but are quite gross in some aspects. These products are used for a variety of things from coloring to just expense, Things like Snail goo hydrates our skin, and crushed beetles are most of the time used for colouring but things like hardened whale vomit is for the companies to make more money because whale vomit is VERY hard to find in the ocean because it is almost always disguised as a clump of sand or a weird little piece of coral! But there isn't much to putting the ingredients of dynamite in makeup and cosmetics there isn't much that does good but.. It might blow up your pimples!?!?

Conclusion: So I guess this brings us to the end of this long and gross report on hidden things that are in cosmetics, I sure hope that you learnt something and now you know to look at the contents of the product your planning on buying because there could be some of the things we have listed in that exact product!

identifying-variables

Identifying Variables
A science experiment has three kinds of variables.
Independent variable – The factor that changes in an experiment
Dependent variable – What is being measured in an experiment
Control variable – The factor that remains constant in an experiment
Identify the three variables in the following scenarios
Two groups of fifth graders were tested to compare their speed solving long
division problems. One group had calculators, the other didn’t.
What is the dependent variable?
Speed
What is the independent variable?
The calculator
What is the control variable?
Math problems

Students of different grades were given the same jigsaw puzzle to assemble.
The time they took to assemble it was measured.
What is the dependent variable?
Time
What is the independent variable?
They are in different grades
What is the control variable?

The jigsaw puzzle

For reading we had to do identifying-variables about the scientific method

The order of Data, Research, Question, Conclusion and Hypothesis

Experiment
A test done to check if a hypothesis is correct or not.

Data
The results of an experiment in the form of visuals like graphs, etc.

Research
Facts contained in reference sources that support the data in an experiment

Question
The problem that needs to be resolved through an experiment

Conclusion
The result of the experiment that states whether the hypothesis was correct or incorrect

Hypothesis
A possible answer to the problem/question

For this we had to match up the mixed meaning of: Experiment, Data, Research, Question, Conclusion, Hypothesis.
